A 200 kV HVDC line moving renewable electricity through rugged terrain and harsh weather from Granite Canal to Cape Ray — including the high-wind Wreck House area.

Access & terrain

Difficult coastal and inland pads with weather exposure that demanded disciplined crews and proven anchor systems.

Scope

• Complete challenging anchors in Segment 3, including Wreck House
• Drill, install, and grout rock and soil guy anchors
• Install rock anchors for self-supporting and tangent towers

Outcome

Anchors built to hold in one of the line’s most demanding wind environments.
